Brit Drozda Returns To New York City in Performance Debut of New Album ‘Make Something Beautiful’
August 13th@ 9:00pm at the Rockwood Music Hall
196 Allen St in East Village
“Brit Drozda has truly made something beautiful.” – Frank M’Otion, For The Love of Bands
Folk-Rock Singer Songwriter, Brit Drozda, will be returning to her NY roots with a performance debut of her brand new album “Make Something Beautiful” in the East Village this summer. Produced by Jason Scavone, her recently released album is “a beauty-filled walk through Americana, Folk and Pop” (for the love of bands’ Frank M’Otion). The live performance will also include a debut of the song “Breathing” which is inspired by Vegas shooting tragedy and featured in the documentary film “Valiant.”
Showcasing eleven original songs written and performed by Drozda, “Make Something Beautiful” artfully blends the essence of folk music with tones of Pop and Rock music while adding notes inspired by the likes of Norah Jones and Sheryl Crow. With the title track evoking her listeners to recognize all forms of beauty around them, listeners join her dynamic journey of heartbreak and reflection to nostalgia and love.
“I loved playing at Rockwood Music Hall last year and am excited to debut my new songs to a larger audience looking to discover new music this summer!” says Brit Drozda
This is the third album collaboration with producer Jason Scavone, which includes her comeback album “Let Me Hang The Moon” in 2016, and her 2018 EP “You Can’t Take It With You When You Go” presenting catchy, upbeat, rock tracks accompanied by dreamy ballads. In these songs, Brit’s voice shines with a depth and intensity that immediately hooks listeners and draws them to her well-crafted lyrics.
Brit is currently recording a new single in New York City with Grammy award-winning Producer, Scott Jacoby which will debut later this Fall.
An official music video of the song “Breathing” is currently in post-production.
Brit Drozda is a dynamic Folk-Rock, singer-songwriter and recording artist based in Charlotte, N.C. Influenced by singer-songwriters like Sheryl Crow, Brandi Carlile, Patty Griffin, and Norah Jones, Brit brings a soulful voice and poetic lyrics to her listeners.
